I have an awesome idea for you that can generate a boatload of money on Sunday, June 21st.
Sunday, June 21st is the First Day of Summer … The perfect day to have a city wide “Dog Walk.” Invite your listeners and their dogs to celebrate the First Day of Summer with you at a local park for a day of fun, exercise and contests. The days events can include a dog parade through the park and a round of contests like Biggest Dog, Smallest Dog, Longest Tail and the ever fun Dog / Owner Look-alike Contest.
Registration points can be sold to pet shops and dog grooming centers with the fees being donated to your local animal shelter. I sold the major sponsorship to Iams Dog Food for $10,000 when we did the promotion at WJLK in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Not a bad days pay for spending a Sunday in the park with Fido!
